Five steps, every season
01 — SIGNAL
Satellite imagery and soil data are pulled for each enrolled farmer's plot and matched against crop stage and local stress thresholds.
02 — PRESCRIBE
The platform generates a specific, timed action — what to apply, how much, within what window. Not general advice. A prescription for that plot, that week.
03 — DELIVER
The prescription goes out over SMS or USSD through the channel your programme already operates. The farmer gets something to act on within 48 hours.
04 — VERIFY
Farmer responses, extension officer field records, and follow-up checks are logged against the same farmer ID. Delivery and adoption are recorded as two different things, because they are.
05 — LEARN
Outcomes roll up into the dashboard: adoption funnels, yield comparisons, non-adoption patterns by ward, gender, and channel. That evidence shapes next season's prescriptions.

MazaoX is designed to sit on top of existing programme infrastructure rather than replace it.
We follow Kenya's Data Protection Act (DPA) regulations, and we collect farmer consent to receive messaging and to have their yield outcomes logged via a consent form.
SMS and USSD gateways — We support Africa's Talking for now, expanding to other messaging APIs in the near future.
Farmer registration systems — Bulk import via CSV, or direct sync with accounts created by a field extension officer directly in the MazaoX app.
Extension officer field tools — Mobile capture for visit records and non-adoption reasons.
Export — Raw data exports and analytics dashboards, exported as CSV or PDF for now.
